Robert Hauser

President and Chief Executive Officer

Bob is a graduate of The College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He has lived and worked in the Charlottesville area for more than 25 years after beginning his real estate career in Northern Virginia. Through a keen understanding of the real estate market, Bob has become a prominent fixture in the Charlottesville real estate development community. He lives in Albemarle County with his wife and family.

Drew Holzwarth

Chief Operating Officer

As the Chief Operating Officer of Stonehaus, Drew brings over 13 years of leadership experience in the real estate industry.  Prior to joining Stonehaus Drew had an extensive career at NVR, where he started in 1994.  During his NVR career, Drew spent time in Sales and Marketing, Construction Management, Estimating, and the final seven years as Vice President, Division Manager.  For the first five years as a Vice President, Division Manager, Drew built then successfully grew the Washington D.C. Metro Division for Ryan Homes t/a NVR.  He then built upon that success and led the start-up teams for the Washington D.C. Southwest Division and then the Charlottesville Division for NVR.   Drew is a results-driven business strategist who is successful in creating vision, identifying opportunities, building organizations, and delivering strong revenue and profits. Drew graduated from Penn State University with dual Bachelor’s degrees and is currently an MBA candidate at the Darden School MBA for Executives Program at the University of Virginia.  Drew lives in Charlottesville with his wife and two children.

John Desmond

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

John Desmond graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and holds more than 25 years of manufacturing, real estate, construction and development experience. John manages the accounting and administration teams, in addition to handling all legal and banking duties for the company. He is active locally in community organizations, including the Charlottesville Civic Chamber and the United Way. John also serves as treasurer for his church. John lives in Albemarle County with his wife and two sons.

Frank Stoner

Vice President of Business Development

Frank is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, and co-founder of Stonehaus. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2001 to 2006 when he resigned to take a nine-month world trip with his wife and children. Prior to founding Stonehaus, he was President of the Wrenson Corporation from 1986 to 1996, developing mixed-use, commercial and residential projects in Central Virginia. He was the founder and managing partner of Kegler’s of Charlottesville from 1988 to 1996. He is a licensed real estate broker with a CCIM designation and a member of the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors. He served as a director for the Charlottesville Area Chamber of Commerce from 1996 to 2001, and in 2003 was awarded by the Chamber as the Small Businessperson of the Year. Frank’s permanent residence is located in Albemarle County with his wife and three children. He returned to Stonehaus in June 2007 and directs business planning and development efforts for the company.

Ernie Walls

Vice President of Construction

Ernie holds a civil engineering degree from Virginia Tech and is a registered Professional Engineer. Before joining Stonehaus, his most recent work experience was as president of Mathers Construction, based in Waynesboro, VA. He was previously vice president for the construction division of R. E. Lee & Son, Inc, where he was employed for twenty years. Ernie has major construction experience throughout the state, and local past projects include the Doubletree Hotel and State Farm at Pantops. Ernie and his wife reside in Charlottesville.

Trevor Henry

Director of Development

Trevor holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Susquehanna University and was certified as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant engineer during his eight years of active duty service in the United States Navy. Trevor brings over fifteen years of program execution, technical management and leadership experience in diverse and dynamic environments, including his time with the Navy as well as a Department of Defense contractor. Trevor leverages this experience to manage commercial and apartment development projects for Stonehaus. Trevor lives in Albemarle County with his wife and two children.

Cass Kawecki

Director of Sales and Marketing

Cass is a licensed real estate salesperson and has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon. Prior to joining Stonehaus he was the VP and Director of Operations for the Pittsburgh Investment Property Sales group of CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest real estate services firm. Cass has closed over $150 million in property sales including dispositions of office, retail, condo-conversion, and apartment property. In addition, he has managed complex urban development projects with an emphasis on mixed-use and sustainable design. He recently served as a distinguished faculty and taught the first graduate level, university-wide real estate course at Carnegie Mellon. Cass is an active member of the ULI, NAIOP, and the Dean’s Forum at the UVA School of Architecture. Cass is engaged and lives in Charlottesville.

Peter Primiani

Director of Portfolio Management

Peter brings more than 20 years of property management, leasing and asset management experience to the company. Prior to joining Stonehaus, he served as Vice President with Koger Equity, a national REIT, in Richmond, Virginia, managing the company’s assets in the market which peaked at one point to 1.2 million sq.ft. Peter is a licensed Virginia Real Estate Broker and a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. His community involvement includes being a Louisa Lion Club member for the past 20 years, serving as treasurer of the Louisa County Fair for 9 years, serving on the Grymes Memorial School Board of Trustees for 6 years and serving on the Vestry of St. James’ Church in Louisa for 3 years. Peter resides in Louisa County with his wife and three sons.

Chris Schooley

Director of Development

Chris holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and a Master of Environmental and Urban Planning from the University of Virginia. His portfolio of work includes a number of land residential and multi-use developments with specific attention paid to development and design of their amenity packages. Chris manages land development projects for Stonehaus, and works closely with builders and design professionals to develop the architectural and site details that make unique rural and infill development communities. He lives in Augusta County with his wife and two children.
